Middletone Display Font for Bold Brand Campaigns
Middletone in a Product Launch Graphic
I was designing the main graphic for a seasonal product launch, and I needed a font that would stand out but still feel modern. Middletone, a cool, distinct and stylish display font, immediately caught my eye. Its unique character shapes and subtle swashes made it perfect for creating visual intrigue. When I previewed the graphic on mobile, the text remained legible even at smaller sizes, which is crucial for digital campaigns.
Using Middletone as the headline gave the design an edge without overwhelming the viewer. It helped establish a clear hierarchy and set the tone for the campaign’s messaging. The PUA encoding allowed me to access all glyphs and swashes easily, which came in handy when I wanted to add a decorative flourish to the call-to-action button.
Middletone for YouTube Thumbnail Sets
When working on a YouTube thumbnail set for a content series, I needed something that would grab attention quickly. Middletone proved to be a strong choice for the title text. Its stylish yet readable form made it ideal for fast-scrolling feeds where first impressions matter most.
I paired Middletone with a clean sans serif font for the supporting text, ensuring that the thumbnails looked cohesive across multiple videos. The contrast between the two fonts added depth and professionalism to the overall look. Even when compressed into small previews, Middletone retained its clarity and impact.
For the background, I used a dark tone to make the white text pop. This combination worked well for both light and dark mode viewing, which is essential for platforms like YouTube that support multiple themes.
Middletone in Instagram Posts and Pinterest Campaigns
Instagram and Pinterest are all about visual storytelling, and Middletone fit perfectly into this space. I used it for a series of Instagram posts promoting a limited-time sale. The font's cool and distinct style aligned with the brand’s personality and helped maintain consistency across the feed.
On Pinterest, where users often search for inspiration, Middletone added a touch of elegance to pins related to lifestyle and design. The font’s versatility allowed it to work well in both minimalistic and layered compositions. For example, using Middletone for the headline and a script font for the subtext created a dynamic and engaging layout.
I also tested Middletone in various color combinations. It performed exceptionally well against bright backgrounds, making it suitable for vibrant promotional visuals. However, I found that it didn’t work as well with very busy or patterned backgrounds, where it could get lost in the details.
Middletone for Digital Ads and Email Promotions
In a recent digital ad campaign, I used Middletone for the headline text. The font’s stylish appearance helped draw attention to the offer while maintaining readability. I noticed that the ads had a higher click-through rate compared to previous campaigns using more standard fonts.
For email promotions, Middletone was used sparingly — mainly for subject lines and call-out sections. This ensured that the emails remained professional yet visually appealing. I recommend using Middletone only for short headlines or key messages in emails to avoid overcomplicating the layout.
Its PUA encoding made it easy to customize the typography without needing additional tools or plugins. This feature saved time during the production phase and allowed for quick adjustments based on client feedback.
Middletone for Webinar Banners and Course Launches
During a webinar banner design for an online course launch, I needed a font that felt both inviting and authoritative. Middletone delivered exactly that. Its cool and distinct style matched the course’s theme of innovation and creativity.
The font was used as the main title, while a complementary sans serif font was used for the subtitle and description. This pairing created a balanced look that was both eye-catching and easy to read. I also experimented with different weights of Middletone to add visual interest to the banner without sacrificing clarity.
Testing the font on different screen sizes showed that it maintained its quality across devices, from desktops to mobile phones. This adaptability made it a reliable choice for multi-channel marketing efforts.
